Wedding Blog Was Spammed - We Apologize

The Big Wedding Blog was briefly infiltrated by some very crude and offensive pornography.

Evidently our comment filters were somehow overridden.

To prevent this in the future we have put a total administrative review/block on all comments. ALL comments, as well as postings will be reviewed directly by Blog Admin from this point on. We will not depend on spam filters at all.

We apologize to all who received any inappropirate and offensive material. We feel confident that there were no viruses spread during this infiltration of pornography.

With these new admin proceedures now in place, our industry (merchants and brides) can again confidently and securely depend on The Big Wedding Blog. The BIG Wedding Blog remains committed to being the most widely read and distributed source of information for today’s bride.

Please accept our apologies, e-mail any comments directly to blogAdmin@brideandgroomplanner.com

Massage for the Cure at Massage Envy

Filed under: Health, Beauty, Make-up — Linda Surles @ 4:45 pm

Massage for the Cure!

Stressed out by all the wedding planning? Take a break and get a massage at Massage Envy. Massage for the Cure is a great way to enjoy a wonderful, relaxing massage from Massage Envy while helping find a cure for breast cancer. The one day event is sweeping the nation, and coming to a clinic near you soon. Massage for the Cure is a guaranteed success, so the events are held annually at participating clinics to benefit local affiliates of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

All you do is call your local clinic and make an appointment for a 1-hour massage session for the day of our Massage for the Cure event. Instead of paying us for the massage, 100% of your donation for the massage goes to benefit the local affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Massage Envy works with local Komen affiliates so the majority of the money donated stays in your community, helping give back to our friends and neighbors.

Click here to find out when it is coming to your city http://massageenvy.com/massage-for-the-cure.aspx

Live in Atlanta? Massage for the Cure will happen at our Massage Envy locations on July 28th from 8am - 10pm. Call today to make your appointment!

Now get out there and relax! :)

Cheers,

Linda Surles, publisher of Atlanta Bride & Groom Planner

That Perfect Look

Filed under: Health, Beauty, Make-up — jcblue @ 8:23 am

On the Day of Your Wedding you want your skin to look its best.  To help get rid of impurities you should cleanse and moisturize your skin every day, twice a day; at night before you retire to bed and in the morning when you wake up. Cleansers used should be compatible to the skin and should be deep, porous cleansers. After washing the face with dry and pat the face with a Ph balanced freshner or toner. Ph balanced cleansers, freshners and toners keep the skin balanced and cuts down on breakouts caused by unbalanced skin. Lastly be sure to moisturize. Regardless of skin type, the skin needs moisture to prevent flakiness and cracks in the skin. Clean, healthy skin is an essential, basic step to that perfect look on the day of your wedding.

Make-up  If you normally don’t wear much makeup or none at all, then you don’t want to look too made up on the day of the wedding. However, you must remember that you will be photographed throughout the day, so you do want to use make-up that is photography friendly. Choose cosmetics that are long lasting, can be easily blended and have a high pigmentation level for your wedding day. Cosmetic colors should compliment your wedding attire, but not be too dark. To cover all aspects of bridal makeup, consider having a makeup demonstration; they are very useful in successfully achieving the desired look.

Bridal Beauty Tips

Filed under: A Rachel Reeves BLOG, Health, Beauty, Make-up — Rachel Reeves - BrideAndGroomPlanner.com @ 12:35 pm

Before your big day approaches, you may want to thing about some beauty basics before your big day. Many brides automatically go on a diet. Let’s face it, nothing motivates you to lose those five pounds than knowing you will be the center of attention in a white dress. Just remember when it comes time to ordering that dress, do NOT order a dress too small with the hopes you will lose weight. Even if you do shed those extra pounds, you don’t know where they are going to come off. Nothing is worse than having back fat on your wedding day because you ordered a size 4 dress, when you should have ordered a size 8.

If you decide to start a new skin treatment, do this months before the wedding. It will give your skin time to adjust to the new products and treatments. Do not get a facial the week of your wedding. Facials have a tendency to bring oil and impurities to the surface and you could end up with a lovely blemish on your nose for your wedding. You may want to start a regular treatment routine at least six months out. It will prepare your skin and give you a wedding day glow.

This isn’t the time to experiment with hair cuts and color. If you have brown hair, don’t decide to become a platinum blonde right before you wedding. You don’t want to look back at your wedding photos and wonder who that women is the white dress…oh, it’s you!

Don’t mess with manicures and pedicures the day of your wedding. Do that the day before to give it time to dry. Spend you wedding day relaxing with a massage and enjoy some pampering by having a professional do your hair and make-up.

Brides I am so impressed in the quality of Vendors we bring into the industry, keep doing those surveys. http://brideandgroomplanner.com/myWeddingSurvey.php

My favorite part of our planner and Website is the Your Future section, we take pride and staying with you after your special day, don’t overlook this section, we are growing and have recently signed on a couple of Realtors and a Financial Planner. I spent an hour with our financial planner last week and he educated me more in that hour than I have ever been in my 39 years. What better gift could your parents or you give to yourselves than a free financial consultation to start your marriage off right and avoid one of the biggest potholes you could get into.

On the lighter side have you checked out our wedding disaster videos? http://www.brideandgroomplanner.com/stopWeddingDisasters.php  Share them with you friends and family?

Don’t miss our idea galleries it’s my favorite part of our new site. Look for the mouse ring box for all your computer savvy fiancés or boyfriends what a trip!!!! It’s in the wedding ring section.http://cincinnati.brideandgroomplanner.com/pictureGalleries.php

And don’t forget your engagement stories and add a picture after such romantic stories we want to see you.

I am proud to be the newest addition of the Cincinnati Dayton Bride & Groom Family. This is my first year with the company; I am the office Administrator as well as part of our Sales team. My favorite part of this company and what sets us a part is our commitment to our Vendors, if you don’t succeed we don’t. This goes far beyond signing you up for our program we include networking and monthly follow-ups a must as we go into June ‘08, so look out hear we come!!!! I look forward to meeting you all soon weather in person or phone calls.
